York 1233zd chiller is a top AHR product
Johnson Controls’ York YZ chiller, using low GWP refrigerant R1233zd is a finalist in the AHR Expo Product of the Year Award.
The YZ chiller is one of the Innovation Award winners from 10 different categories selected from exhibitors at the forthcoming AHR Expo in Atlanta. The winners of each AHR Expo Innovation Award were selected by a panel of third-party ASHRAE member judges who evaluated each award entry based on its innovative design, creativity, application, value and market impact.
The winners will be featured at the Show in Atlanta in January 2019 and one will be selected during the show as Product of the Year.
The York YZ magnetic bearing centrifugal chiller was chosen as the winner in the Cooling category, while Emerson’s Copeland Scroll compressor was top in the Refrigeration category.
The winners included:
Building Automation: Automated Logic Corporation for OptiFlex, a software-based integration platform for data monitoring across diverse building systems
Cooling: Johnson Controls for York YZ magnetic bearing centrifugal chiller
Green Building: EnVerid Systems for HVAC Load Reduction module 1000E-M, an indoor air scrubber module designed to lower energy wastage from HVAC systems
Indoor Air Quality: CPS Products for IAQ SmartAir, a smart tool used for identifying, diagnosing and solving IAQ issues
Refrigeration: Emerson for Copeland Scroll fractional-horsepower, low-temperature compressors
Tools & Instruments: Dwyer Instruments for its Series 490W wireless hydronic balancing kit
Ventilation: Energy Wall for its U-ERV energy recovery ventilator.
