J&E Hall introduces compact CU

J&E Hall has updated its commercial condensing unit range by introducing a compact version of its popular 12hp digital twin Fusion scroll model.

The new unit boasts a 20% smaller footprint than the existing 12hp unit but is said to retain all the features and maintains capacities up to 38kW. This will allow the contractor to install the redesigned unit in areas where space has previously been an issue.

J & E Hall product sales senior manager Tony Twine said: “We are seeing more and more demand for a physically smaller unit when space and access is restricted. Customers love the existing 12hp digital twin scroll but, on some sites, there just been hasn’t been the space to install one.”

According to J&E Hall, the reduction in size has been achieved with no compromise on design or quality.

Tony added: “Digital technology is extremely efficient and is a superb solution for commercial refrigeration applications. We offer a single digital compressor unit range that includes 4, 6 and 8hp options as well the 12hp twin unit.”

The new, smaller 12hp unit houses two Copeland scroll compressors – one digital and one fixed speed. The advanced electronic control of the digital compressors, delivering variable capacity down to 10%, enables the refrigeration load to me matched precisely.

The unit incorporates low-speed condenser fans with speed control for quiet operation and is acoustically lined. It is housed in a heavy-duty weather-proof and corrosion-resistant casing.

For easy installation and servicing, major components are accessed via hinged doors. The pre-wired control panel with mains isolator, phase protection relay and electronic controller with large LCD display offers major benefits to the installer. The unit also features compressor ball valves, electronic oil level regulators, a new oil separator-reservoir, externally-mounted service valves and status lights. The new JEHSDT-1200-B5-M-3 can operate with multiple refrigerants: R404A, R407A, R407F, R448A and R449A.
