Courses cover compressor technology

The latest refrigeration and air conditioning compressor technologies will be explained in a new programme of training sessions announced by Bitzer UK.

The day-long training sessions at the company’s Milton Keynes headquarters will cover reciprocating and screw compressor technologies and the latest inverter systems. There will also be courses giving an overview of the Bitzer range of equipment.

“While the principles of refrigeration don’t change, the technology itself is subject to constant development and innovation,” explained Bitzer UK’s head of technical training and business development Marcus Levy. “To get the best out of today’s high performance systems and ensure they perform at maximum efficiency, it is important to understand how they operate and how to commission and service plant correctly.”

He added: “The courses cover the principles of operation, with hands-on experience for those at the sharp end of installation and servicing. They are also useful as introductions or technology refreshers for system designers and interested end users.”

The courses are free and include refreshments and lunch. Reciprocating Technology course dates are 30 October and 12 December 2017, and 23 January and 20 February 2018. Screw Technology will be covered on 21 November and 19 December 2017, and 30 January and 27 February 2018. Inverter Technology will be the subject of courses on 28 November 2017 and 9 January and 6 February 2018. Finally, the compressor manufacturer will be providing an overview of its complete range on 5 December 2017, 16 January 2018 and 13 February 2018.
