A-Gas Rapid Recovery team helped Toyota with the road to recovery
Following devastating floods in Kwa-Zulu Natal, Toyota suffered massive damage to its plant and inventory. Not wanting to compromise on their quality with damaged goods, Toyota took the decision to scrap 4500 vehicles that had been affected by the flood damage.
А-Gas offered its Rapid Recovery service to recover refrigerant from damaged vehicles. The recovery and reclamation of product also reduces the need for virgin gas to be manufactured.
The team arrived on site with a mobile Rapid Recovery vehicle. Over a period of six weeks the Rapid Recovery team recovered close to two tonnes of refrigerant from the 4500 flood damaged vehiclespreventing 1969 tons of C02-eq from being released into the atmosphere.
