Refcom document tackles A2L refrigerants

F-gas certification body Refcom has produced a technical bulletin about lower flammability refrigerants in response to the HFC phasedown.

The objective of this technical bulletin is to advise on the changes to working practices required when working with the new generation of A2L refrigerants replacing the higher GWP HFC gases that are currently the industry norm.

The bulletin tackles best practice in installation, service, maintenance and repair work. It also deals with EN378 and Risk Assessment Method Statements, building on the Guide to A2L Refrigerants recently produced by FETA and included in this Refcom document as an appendix.

The bulletin can be downloaded here.
