“Natural refrigerants will play an important role in creating a sustainable future for our planet.” That was the key finding of the eurammon Symposium 2022 as Rob Lamb of Star Refrigeration Ltd., chairman of the Steering Committee of eurammon e. V. put it. The 5-day online event took place from 4 to 8 July and was attended by more than 500 participants from 29 countries across the world. These included representatives from governmental organisations, NGOs, training institutes, and industry.

First Industrial Transcritical CO2 System Installed in Malaysia

Malaysian HVAC&R contractor FFM Engineering recently installed the country’s first industrial transcritical CO2 (R744) system at a cold storage facility in Kuala Lumpur, according to a presentation from Mark Leong, a representative of the engineering company, during the State of the Industry – Southeast Asia online session on the second day of the ATMOsphere APAC Summit 2022.

Solstice yf (R-1234yf) refrigerant with UV dye will be available in the aftermarket

Honeywell announced that its new Solsticeyf UV – a low-global-warming-potential (GWP) refrigerant incorporating ultraviolet (UV) dye for leak detection support in automobile air conditioning systems – is now available at all participating NAPA Auto Parts stores across the United States. This is the first time Solstice yf (R-1234yf) refrigerant with UV dye will be available in the aftermarket.
