The Republic of Moldova is gradually switching to natural cooling agents, with the goal of eliminating fluorinated gases by 2050

The Republic of Moldova will gradually reduce, starting 1 January 2024, the import and use of fluorinated greenhouse gases and will replace them with natural cooling agents, according to the provisions of the new law on fluorinated greenhouse gases, voted in the final reading by the Parliament. The law was developed with the support of the EU4Climate project, financed by the European Union and implemented by UNDP Moldova and is to enter into force six months after its publication. Until now, the import and use of F-gases was not regulated in Moldova.

The latter are given by 37% by direct emissions caused by fluorinated gases whereas 63% by indirect emissions for the electric energy production.

Daikin has is releasing a new range of air-cooled scroll chillers featuring refrigerant R-32. This new series is the second generation of Daikin R-32 chillers, a range of products that set a new standard for energy efficiency and environmental responsibility in the HVAC industry in 2018 when they were first launched. The new Series is now available in both standard cooling only version (EWAT-B-C) and hydronic free cooling version (EWFT-B-C).
