Russia will offer BRICS a platform for "green technologies"
At the upcoming meeting in April Russia will propose ministers of Natural Resources of the BRICS countries to create a platform of public-private partnership for the implementation of „green technologies“, through the Development Bank, according to the materials of the Ministry of Natural Resources available to the RIA Novosti news agency.
„We want to offer the BRICS countries to consider the possibility of creating a platform of public-private partnership of the BRICS countries to share experiences of legislative regulations in the field of environmental protection, as well as in the research, exchange and introduction of “green technologies”, — noted the representative of the Ministry of Environment.
According to the Ministry, Russia has a positive experience in this direction — a successful operation of the „St. Petersburg Initiative“, a platform of public-private partnerships in the Baltic Sea region. “At the same time we are thinking of the need to create a financial mechanism on the basis of the Development Bank to facilitate investment in „green“ technologies and related environmental projects in BRICS Member States”, said the representative of the Ministry of Natural Resources
