Green & Cool debuts new CO2Y unit for SMEs at EuroShop
The integrated solution is designed to provide affordable cooling for small businesses.
In a bid to tap into the convenience store market, Green & Cool – part of the Carrier UTC group that also includes Celsior and Profroid – last week displayed its new CO2Y MC unit at the EuroShop retail tradeshow in Düsseldorf.
Green & Cool describes the CO2Y MC – which is ideal for larger convenience stores – as the multi-compressor sibling of the smaller CO2Y unit. The latter was formally launched at Chillventa last October.
The CO2Y MC comes in various sizes, using from two to five rotary hermetic compressors. The multi-temperature solution can also cover applications from 10 to 40 kW.
A fully integrated system
The model displayed can simultaneously refrigerate and air condition the convenience store, making it an integrated solution. It is for outdoor installation. It is an energy-optimised solution thanks to its use of inverter-drive compressors, and can be connected to several evaporators.
CO2Y MC is also available with a wide range of options such as a low ambient kit (below -15 degrees Celsius), including an EC fan and an electronic box-controlled heater.
