Various alternative refrigerants to CFC12 have been studied and some of them now are used by the refrigeration industry worldwide. There are some flammable refrigerants аmong them.
Flammable refrigerants such as (R 600a) isobutene have gained in popularity with the consumer population. primary because of its environmentally benign properties. More specifically, hydrocarbon refrigerants are safe to the Earth\‘s ozone layer and also are not considered to be a direct contributor to the Global Warming phenomena, known as the Greenhouse Effect.
